Our team has over 40 years of venture capital experience and a long history of investing and managing venture funds. The Managing Members of MK Capital have managed six venture funds and over $300 million of capital in the past twelve years. Each member of the MK Capital team has previously been an entrepreneur and manager. As a result, each team member has substantial operating experience and a proven track record of helping small business grow successfully. We have advised dozens of companies as board members in a variety of economic cycles, industries, and stages of development. Each team member plays an active role both in the Fund's investment activities and in assisting portfolio companies.

David Rangel
David joined MK Capital in 2008. Prior to joining MK Capital, he was a senior member of Microsoft’s Corporate Strategy Group. There he led teams developing company-wide growth and market entry strategies and advising senior executives. Some of the projects he led include the development of Microsoft’s online commerce and advertising strategy, Microsoft’s entry into the hosted email hygiene and archiving business and Microsoft’s initial strategy around cloud computing and platform as a service.
Prior to Microsoft, David co-founded TextilEdge, a supply chain software company where he led business development. Prior to TextilEdge he worked for InstallShield Software Corporation where he had roles in product management and business development.

David received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago GSB, and a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
