Our team has over 40 years of venture capital experience and a long history of investing and managing venture funds. The Managing Members of MK Capital have managed five venture funds and over $400 million of capital in the past twelve years. Each member of the MK Capital team has previously been an entrepreneur and manager. As a result, each team member has substantial operating experience and a proven track record of helping small business grow successfully. We have advised dozens of companies as board members in a variety of economic cycles, industries, and stages of development. Each team member plays an active role both in the Fund's investment activities and in assisting portfolio companies.

Mark Terbeek
Mark co-founded MK Capital. Prior to joining MK Capital, he was a co-founder and Vice President of Corporate Development at Jamcracker Inc. from 1999 to 2002. Prior to Jamcracker, Mark was a Venture Capital Associate at First Analysis Corporation from 1995-1997. He also worked at McKinsey in Chicago as a Business Analyst from 1993-1995.
Since the inception of MK Capital, Mark has led 9 investments in two industries: Digital Media (Kontiki, Generate, Machinima, NBX, NXTV and Buzznet) and Data Center Automation (Bladelogic, Netuitive and Klir). Additionally, he was actively involved and led investments, in previous funds, at Exodus Communications, VPNet Technologies, Automated Healthcare and Network Commerce, which all provided significant capital gains. Mark continues to focus on the Digital Media and Data Center Automation sectors.
